The Orchard View Head Start Preschool is a federally funded FREE program for children who are 3 and 4 years old on or before December 1st of the current preschool year.
Morning or afternoon 3.5 hour sessions are available Monday through Thursday to families who qualify based on income and special needs. In addition, an all-day, all-year program is also available.
Head Start provides individualized learning, health services, free transportation, meals and snacks, and social services. Activities are centered around stories, art, music, math, science, and play. Parents and guardians are welcome to attend class and participate in family activities. Family involvement is a big part of your child's participation in Head Start.
A Head Start is Important!
Research shows that the first step to your child's success is being well prepared for kindergarten. This is Head Start's mission – making sure your child will succeed in kindergarten and beyond!
